Forbidden Planet has A Christmas Carol Original Soundtrack CD, the 2010 edition was the third most watched programme on December 25th with 12.1m viewers and the fourth most viewed episode since the programme's revival in 2005. The thrilling seasonal adventure starring Matt Smith as the eleventh doctor featured stellar guest stars Michael Gambon and Katherine Jenkins. The musical maestro himself, Murray Gold, provides his usual eloquent, immaculately crafted soundtrack. Opera diva Jenkins captivated audiences with Abigail's Song (Silence Is All You Know) featured on this release.

I had a Dalek plunger thrust in my face twice yesterday – once for real, and once as part of 3D voyage through the time vortex – and the “virtual” plunger was by the far the freakier experience of the two. I would say scarier, but at my age, in my job, admitting to being scared by Daleks isn’t something to go public with. But staring into that 3D plunder was certainly, well, intimidating. Let’s just say that for the first time since I was a kid I could recall exactly why the ranting pepperpots seemed so scary....."

Big Finish has Lucie Miller CD Extras - Free Download, it has come to our attention that there is an audio fault on the download version of the CD Extras for Doctor Who: Lucie Miller, the error occurs in the closing minutes of the behind-the-scenes documentary, and consists of an annoying, repeating, clicking sound which increases and decreases in volume. This error was not present on the CD master sent to our production office for checking, but was unfortunately present on the version sent to our web editor for uploading. At the moment, we do not know whether this error exists on the CD versions, as copies of the finished product have not yet arrived at our production office, we hope you will accept our sincerest apologies for this drop in our usually high professional standards. You could say The Chase is on. Yes, I deliberately invoke the previous Dalek story because structurally, it is similar. However, this isn’t Richard Martin’s version of The Chase, this is the Douglas Camfield version, and so far, so good. We’ll address the similarities as they become more apparent....

Blogtor Who has "A Christmas Carol" soundtrack by Murray Gold, you may remember from my reviews of Murray Gold's exceptional soundtracks to The Specials and Series 5 that I commented on how we Doctor Who fans were being spoiled with regards to the music releases. Well, blimey - there was more to come. 2006 saw just one disc cover 28 episodes; five years on and we're getting a CD (or download if you're under thirty - smiley emoticon) for just one hour of Who goodness. Complaining? Am I eff!...
