The Fire Show has Doctor Who: Meglos, the unloved runt of 1980’s Season Eighteen, ‘Meglos’ feels like a very different story from those around it. In many of these we can see new script-editor Christopher H. Bidmead’s interest in ‘real science’ having an influence: in the improbable mathematics of ‘Logopolis’, the unlikely evolutionary processes of ‘Full Circle’, and the barking insanity of ‘Warriors’ Gate’.....
Shadowlocked reviews Planet Of Fire, ah, Lanzarote. Beautiful scenery. Bright sunshine. Hot temperatures - something that's urgently needed in Britain at the moment, given the freezing temperatures. Oh, and of course, the age-old stereotype of one or two pasty-faced British tattooed blobbos or high-heeled bimbos waving beer bottles in the air and bellowing Oasis songs at top whack - although any package holiday deal in a hot, sunny country will inevitably attract these sorts.....
They also have Doctor Who Series 5 soundtrack review, with Steven Moffat taking the reigns of the longest running sci-fi program ever, it only seemed fitting that everything would get a complete overhaul. New Doctor, new TARDIS, new companions, new friends and threats, and of course, new music. Enter our old friend Murray Gold, who changes things up for Matt Smith’s tenure in the classic role. Right from the start, we he lets us know this isn’t the same Doctor Who we’ve been watching for the last five years....
The Daily P.O.P. has Doctor Who and the Dæmons, there are strange goings on at Devil’s End where a televised excavation is arousing trouble from the locals. The weather goes mad, a resident wish warns anyone who will listen that the forces of darkness are being awakened and only the strange new vicar Mister Magister seems perfectly at peace....
The Edwardian Adventurer has 081 – Checkmate (The Time Meddler Part 4), there are times when I wish I didn’t have knowledge of Doctor Who. I would love to experience these stories fresh, no knowledge of Time Lords or regeneration. How utterly mind-blowing and epic this story must have seemed. Two years of stories, 80 episodes, with no information of The Doctor’s people, then WHAM! A TARDIS.
Total Sci Fi has Doctor Who: The Mutants, in the 30th Century, the planet Solos is fighting for independence from the Earth Empire, but the local Marshall stands in the way. The Doctor and Jo Grant meet Solonian rebel Ky (Garrick Hagon), discovering there is more to him than meets the eye — these rebels are evolving!...Podcast Review's...

Doctor Who Filming Block 2 has been confirmed as kicking off in the US today by director Billy Gierhart (who's been working on episode two in the first block) - this is probably brand new episodes. It is concurrent with the UK filming, which has been reported will take in several episodes. So, plenty to (perhaps) hear about on both sides of the Atlantic! |
alun_vega They're creating a "shrine" of messages and mementos on the wall outside the Coal Exchange. Why? There's a "real" one on Mermaid Quay ;) Photo: “Miracle Day” http://tumblr.com/xch1een8c5 So: at least 3 locations (all tonight?), Coal Exchange (hospital), Natwest bank (police stn), Pierhead/Plass (refilled crater) |

inmydarkestdays has YouTubed Doctor Who Series 6 Episode 3 Filming 31/1/11, Karen Gillan rehearses a scene on board a pirate ship. It seems that someone (presumably the Doctor or Rory) has just been forced to walk the plank and Amy fights back but is taken off guard. The bit where she runs and knocks everyone over is meant to be for a rope swing.
