"She tries to flummox him and she says when she was a little girl she always dreamed of going to a fantasy world with fairies and unicorns and elves and he thinks for a minute and then says, 'Yes. I can do that'"......

Radio Free Skaro has Episode 236 - Brave Heart, Teague, as the countdown to Gallifrey One continues (less than two weeks away!), the Three Who Rule tumble in to the collected works of director Colin Teague in this week's instalment of the Miniscope. Despite Teague's opprobrious epithet, the Three were pleasantly surprised at his directorial skill which constantly shone over some of the written inspiration he had to work with. Also dealt with was the news of the week, featuring all three hosts blanking on the duties of a recently added Gallifrey One guest (it's prosthetics - duh).

Two-minute Time Lord has 2MTL 189: Hoping for a (Torchwood) Miracle, "Children of Earth" was undeniably brilliant, but it ran the Torchwood concept through a Cuisinart. Is there enough left for "Miracle Day" to feel like Torchwood, or something new entirely? And is that a good thing?

Shadowlocked reviews Attack Of The Cybermen, it's the story that kicks off season 22, something of a turning point in Who history for a number of reasons. It begins Colin Baker's first proper season and also sees a return to the traditional Saturday night slot. And then it takes inspiration from the previous year's Resurrection Of The Daleks in a couple of ways. For one thing, like that story, season 22 tales are told in blocks of 45 minutes rather than 25. That's common practice nowadays, but back then, it was something of a novelty....
