He has also posted Mother Russia written by Marc Platt and directed by Nigel Fairs, it's 1812 and the Doctor, Steven and Dodo get ready to spend their winter in a Russian village. The French are on their way, but that's not the only invasion the travellers will have to deal with, "I am a huge fan of Steven Taylor and think Peter Purves is extremely underrated as an actor. People readily remember his career as a presenter but I think if they took the time to study the remnants of the excellent season three they would find a fine dramatic performer. His desperation to save Katerina, his solemn look back at the death toll in Daleks’ Masterplan, his decision to leave the Doctor because he finds his researches into the past too cold…some of the finest moments in Doctor Who have been channelled through this companion. Peter Purves proves to be a terrific narrator, managing to capture the poignancy of the character drama and the evocation of history with real style. This is the first companion chronicle I have listened to whilst never once looking at how long it had to go since Frostfire and that’s mostly down to Purves’ stunning narration...."

Doctor Who Speaker Docks
Gadgets And Gizmos
Fans of BBC’s Doctor Who and music can rejoice today after a range of official audio devices have been launched at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011.Speakal, the guys behind the iconic iPig docking station have teamed up to create some authentic designed speakers in collaboration with the BBC, and are said to feature ‘amazing sound’ combined with ‘outlandish’ style. From these pictures we’d have to agree with the aesthetics side but will have to wait for a full review on the sound. If past models are anything to go by the sound will be excellent, in fact the iPig (a similar sized dock) delivers quite a punchy base line with crisp highs and deep lows, quite impressive when a gadget looks good and performs well. We just hope these two new docks sound as good as they look.Speakal informed us that the T.A.R.D.I.S speaker produces powerful bass and incorporates Bluetooth playback so you can hook it up to your Smartphone or compatible mp3 player.Read more here

Classical Gallifrey has Serial 51: Spearhead from Space, because of the way Classic Doctor Who worked as a convention, the way the stories were told and how they were serialized individual stories but without any real overarching serialization or continuity, it's rare for a Doctor Who story to be "important". "Pyramids of Mars" can be all the fantastic in the world. Still doesn't make it "important." Important stories are typically regeneration stories (not even necessarily companion arrivals or departures because they're almost always backgrounded excepting certain instances), "Spearhead From Space" is one of those stories that is... well... Extremely important.....
HeroPress has Doctor Who: Time And The Rani (1987), Sylvester McCoy's tenure in the TARDIS started inauspiciously with, possibly, the worst opening scenes in Who's long history - a TARDIS-in-space effects sequence that looks like an amateur fan film production that cuts to shots of an unconscious McCoy wearing an ill-fitting blonde wig and masquerading as the pre-regeneration Sixth Doctor.....

Den of Geek has Doctor Who: Meglos DVD review, a story from Tom Baker’s eighteenth and final season as Doctor Who, Meglos arrives on DVD. But has time been kind to it? Here’s James’ review, the eighteenth season of Doctor Who is still, some thirty years after its initial transmission, something of a controversial one. Bidmead becoming the show's script editor as well as a whole slew of other stylistic and presentational alterations.....Podcast Review's...

Altered Vistas - The Dalek Chronicles - Complete at last
The final Dalek Chronicle Episode Sixteen The Road to Conflict (AV24) is now available to order for only the price of a blank CD and return postage and packaging from all our usual dubsites around the world.
Adapted from the concluding adventure in the original run of comic strips that ran in TV Century 21 back in 1965 - 1966, this fully animated CGI adventure sees the Daleks finally discovering the location of the planet Earth!
But that’s not all for this exciting conclusion to the series, as the disc is also jam-packed with special bonus features:
● Commentary track recorded by Stuart Palmer and Road to Conflict cast member Bryan McCormack (Captain Fleet), complete with absurdly detailed production notes about the making of the film.
● Invasion Earth - The Road to Conflict may conclude the original comic strip run, but where was it heading? Does it tie into the then recently released film adaptation Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 AD? Do the Dalek Chronicles act as a prequel to the invasion of the Solar System depicted in The Dalek Book? Is the Doctor Who Magazine strip Return of the Elders the true heir to the Dalek Chronicles throne? With fully animated dramatic excerpts, we take a look at all the possibilities in this in-depth documentary narrated by none other than Captain Fleet (AKA Bryan McCormack).
● Sixteen Things The Dalek Chronicles Taught Me About Life - A light-hearted look back at the sixteen stories that make up The Dalek Chronicles and the wholesome moral messages they have to offer us. I live my life by them. Promise.
As always, covers for both DVD and CD style cases are available for download, along with a snazzy label for the disc, so The Road to Conflict can sit proudly on your shelf as the final chapter in the set.
As is traditional in these parts, the release of a new production heralds a massive update to the site. This time round we have a clip from the new production on the Theatre Page plus new Wallpapers celebrating not only The Road to Conflict but also the complete run of The Dalek Chronicles. We have a new gallery showcasing our latest production, the final batch of entries in our now fully-comprehensive Chronicles Encyclopedia and a selection of new reviews for some of our recent titles, plus updates to pages such as Who’s Who and Future Projects.
However, by far the biggest change is the addition to the site is a massive four new articles detailing the comic strip exploits of the Tenth Doctor. Covering all of his comic strips in Doctor Who Magazine, Doctor Who Adventures, Doctor Who Battles in Time and IDW’s Doctor Who title, not to mention annuals and storybooks, this frankly enormous series of articles is illustrated with almost six hundred covers and examples of artwork from the strips.
