BBC Doctor Who - Your Favourite Moments

BBC Doctor Who
Beginning today we reveal the scenes that you told us were your favourites from A Christmas Carol. Is your magic moment there?

After the Doctor's last adventure we asked for your favourite moments from the episode. We received hundreds of suggestions and comments and throughout the week we'll be bringing you some of the scenes you selected.

But today we begin with the moment that was your overwhelming favourite... Paula told us 'I loved the Doctor's grand entrance' and Paul said it was, 'The perfect arrival for the perfect Christmas special!' Yes! Their favourite moment was the popular choice - the Doctor coming down the chimney and making his spectacular Santa-inspired entrance.

It was the moment singled out by Jonathan, John W, Holly, Daniel, Theo, Danielle, Olivia, Thomas, Mel and many more. Dan elaborated - 'I love the Doctor's first meeting with Kazran. I love that there's no sensible reason to come down the chimney, and yet it's entirely believable as the sort of thing (the Doctor) would do.'

William enjoyed that moment and the Doctor's follow-up 'front rolly polly on the carpet', Bethan called it 'amazing' and John W echoed the thoughts of many others revealing his favourite moment 'has to be the Doctor tumbling down the chimney and his reason for doing it'.

You can enjoy that scene again right now and we'll be bringing you more favourite moments later in the week, including some of your favourite lines from the episode. And looking ahead to that, we'll give the last word today to Helen. Her favourite line was the Time Lord saying, 'Nine hundred years of time and space, I've never met anyone who wasn't important', adding 'Isn't that just the Doctor all over?'

We agree! Thanks to everyone who contacted us and more of your feedback later in the week!
