Editor's bit...Todays picture is A Christmas Carol by westleyjsmith, "here is another Tone drawing this time based on the Doctor Who Christmas special - A Christmas Carol. It started out as a hand drawn pencil sketch that I airbrushed and then touched up with pencils in Photoshop."
You can now vote for 'Doctor Who' in the National Television Awards, it's a great shame they've added 'Sherlock' in the same category as many people will be torn between the two, thus making the true votes rather out of kilter. The News...
The Guardian has Critic's choice: Steven Moffat, when it comes to Doctor Who, Moffat admits that it's "entirely impossible" to escape the brouhaha that surrounds the show. "But it's not inhibiting at all – I love Doctor Who, so I love writing it. You are aware at times of the importance of Doctor Who to the BBC, but the remarkable thing about the audience isn't so much its size, which of course is considerable, but the passion of the fans", this year the episodes are to be split into two separate chunks, with seven in the spring, and six in the autumn, when Sherlock will also be returning to our TVs. It is not unlikely that Moffat will see his shows vying for accolades on BBC1.....
The Examiner has The top 10 Doctor Who moments of 2010, the regenerated Doctor Who series on BBC and BBC America has seen an incredible upswing in support and fanbase, thanks to Russell T. Davies' vision, Steven Moffat's writing, and the amazing range of Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. However, in 2010, it was Matt Smith's turn to drive the TARDIS, and the support has never been stronger, here are the top ten DW moments from 2010, at least in our opinion...

Amiga Longplay [688] Dalek Attack,"I saw this show as a kid. At that time it was the fourth doctor (Tom Baker), so that's the one I chose to play as (and preferred of course as I grew up with that version). I didn't see all episodes or the later ones, but now when the show is back (started 2005) in a new version (and of course a new doctor) I thought of recording this game...."

The Daily P.O.P. has Doctor Who Classics -The Seventies, what is a Doctor Who classic? To me a Doctor Who classic epitomizes its era, tells an intelligent and memorable story, has unusual visuals, and features above average performances. Doctor Who is the most mercurial and groundbreaking science fiction program of its kind, so already the bar is quite high for a story to rise from a crop of greatness. The 1970?s is one of the most loved eras of Doctor Who, so selecting what I consider to be classics from this era is no easy task.....

Pharos Project has 33: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat, this week, the Projecteers spat Advocat into a roaring fire, argued with family and indulged in that other fine festive tradition that calls itself the Doctor Who Christmas Special, Jenkins did sing, the Doctor did marry, Gambon did soften and Amy and Rory showed us their sex clothes. Actually, how would you role play between a Centurion and a Police Woman? Bit of an odd combo that. Chris and Little Pete usually do it as Ronald Mcdonald and Hamburglar, a more sensible choice.....Tid-Bits...

Byzantine Reality has Doctor Who and Philosophy, the first part of the book focuses on the topic of identity. With respect to the Doctor Who universe, the big questions revolve around how the various reincarnations of the Doctor can be the same person. Most of the material assumes the answer is ‘yes, they are all the same person’, while the parts that take the opposite approach end up being a bit more interesting largely because they are a bit more creative.....
Tea with Morbius has The Romans, Doctor Who does Carry On with a pinch of Ben-Hur, no fan should underestimate the importance of the historical stories. However, the difficulty in terms of appreciating then is that so few survive. I can't help thinking that it is a shame that this one survives and not Marco Polo or The Massacre.....
The Edwardian Adventurer has Here There Be Monsters, the TARDIS crew materialize on a space exploration vessel crewed by sentient plant life. Bigger On The Inside has ‘The Curse of Fenric’ by Ian Briggs has several similarities to ‘The Talons of Weng-Chiang’. Both are historical adventures, both concern supernatural occurrences and both feature opponents from the future, the tone of the stories are dramatically different. ‘The Talons of Weng-Chiang’ was a investigation, the Doctor and Leela following the trail of the clues, ever moving towards the villain and getting into all kinds of trouble along the way.....Outer Space Book and a Pick of the Tweets...
