Mirror.co.uk
has Tom Baker brands fellow Doctor Who Jon Pertwee an "insufferable know-all", Baker, 76, said: “Jon Pertwee was an insufferable know-all… Jon found it physically impossible to buy a drink”, he added: “he liked the idea of big sums of money for voiceovers, so I would say in Jon’s earshot that someone had offered me £15,000 for a voiceover, but I turned it down because it was going to take a whole hour, “this wasn’t true, but I could hear Jon’s heart pounding. In fact, he died of a heart attack shortly after that. I think that’s why”, Baker also told Dr Who Magazine how he failed to persuade the BBC to let him snog his female co-stars, or to have a “talking frog or badger” assist the Time Lord....

Tea with Morbius has Battlefield, "I really like Battlefield. It's definitely among my favorite Doctor Who stories. Yet at the same time I have to try hard to be really objective about it. There are an awful lot of things about Battlefield which really drag it down. Just like Ghost Light in the same season, it is a story badly weakened by a clear failure in both script editing and direction. Oddly, however, Ghost Light seems to have a better reputation among fans....

Doc Oho's Big Finish audios reviews has Here There Be Monsters written by Andy Lane and directed by Lisa Bowerman, the distant future. The TARDIS, with the Doctor, Susan, Ian and Barbara aboard, is drawn out of the Vortex and lands aboard the Earth Benchmarking Vessel Nevermore, where Captain Rostrum is navigating by punching holes in the very fabric of space. The Doctor is appalled by this act of vandalism, and fearful that it could unleash monsters from the dark dimensions.....

Classical Gallifrey has Serial 97: The Invasion of Time, ...the Williams era is, in my mind, a much maligned era, and how could it not be? He's coming right after three seasons of ridiculous high quality under producer Phillip Hinchcliffe, who had a much firmer grasp on his vision of what he wanted the show to be and was thusly able to execute it that much more effectively than Williams. In addition to that, the show's budget was slashed as hard times fell on England...

The Edwardian Adventurer
has 066 – The Wheel of Fortune (The Crusade Part 3), there are some standout moments in this episode that really can be held up as examples that classic Who really could achieve great drama and acting. First, we have the desperation of Haroun ed Diin, a man who saw his daughter taken by El Akir because he took a fancy to her. Haroun was not terribly pleased with this, and his wife was killed as an example. He has nursed vengeance ever since, and if not for a second daughter, Safiya, he may have pursued this vengeance with more abandon....

Shadowlocked reviews Enlightenment, ...is a big return to form after the patchy Terminus . It has a lot in common with the other season 20 winner Snakedance . Spoiler and Speculation Alert...

Doctor Who Spoilers has A few more Episode One and Two bits and pieces, a poster tells us that at some point The Doctor is wearing a fez again. He goes on to tell us that the scene has something to do with a joke involving Laurel and Hardy and was filmed in front of a green screen which means that a background is going to be added to the scene in post-production, he also tells us that the story takes place at an earlier point in River’s past than the stories of Series Five. There is apparently a scene during which The Doctor flies the TARDIS silently which the poster theorises is The Doctor showing River how to, so that she can show him how to fly it silently in The Time of Angels… holy paradox Batman! He adds that The Doctor is flying the TARDIS silently in order to sneak in to the Oval Office and use the TARDIS scanner to spy.....
