Visit the Sea Devils' Monster page now! Towards the end of The Eleventh Hour, the recently regenerated Doctor confronted the Atraxi. In a memorable scene he reminded the alien that Earth had a protector and we glimpsed several species the Time Lord had fought to protect our world. We saw Daleks, Sontarans and Cybermen along with less familiar faces, including the Sea Devils. The Sea Devils are the marine cousins of the Silurians who ruled our planet long before mankind evolved. Like the Silurians, Sea Devils went into hibernation believing that the moon was going to smash into Earth... but the collision never occurred and a technology malfunction meant they remained in slumber whilst homo sapiens claimed the planet... The Doctor faced these creatures in The Sea Devils and Warriors of the Deep.
