Very soon, SFX will be enjoying an audience with Tom Baker, Time Lord supreme, brightener of our childhoods, purveyor of finely-honed anecdotes, and possibly the world’s greatest living Englishman. And we plan to bombard him with an array of questions from YOU LOT. The results will be published in a future issue of SFX, as one of our regular “Fannish Inquisition” pieces.

So, here’s your chance to ask that question that’s been bubbling away inside your brain for years, like a Kaled mutant in a jar. But take note: this is Tom Baker we’re talking about. The Tom Baker. Only the most insightful, witty questions are worthy of such a cultural titan. So if you’re thinking of asking what his favourite story was, or how long his scarf was, I wouldn’t bother. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be about Doctor Who, either – it could be about his views on literature, politics, sandwiches… anything you like. Although maybe not sandwiches.

The closing date to get your questions in by is 6.00pm on Wednesday 25 October – that gives you a week to come up with something so devastatingly original that it’ll make Tom roar with approval. And you crave that approval, don’t you? Of course you do. What are you waiting for? Thinking cap on and get cracking!

You can submit your question to us in one of three ways:
1. Post it on this thread in our forum.
2. Email it to ian.berriman@futurenet.com

We’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Please don’t let us down.

Parts one and two of Demon Quest, Tom Baker’s new five-part audio series for AudioGo (the exciting new name for BBC Audio!), are available to buy now.
