The Doctor Who Newspage: Radio Times Doctor Who Cover (Christmas 2010)

Media_httpcontent7cli_gajhx

As we expected last week, Doctor Who once again adorns the cover of a Radio Times for Christmas, this year on the issue dated 11th-17th December 2010. The cover art features Matt Smith, Sir Michael Gambon, and Katherine Jenkins "taking the trip of their lives", with the magazine featuring a three page article on the forthcoming Christmas Special, A Christmas Carol.

As well as discussing the programme, Matt Smith reflects on his first Christmas outing as the Doctor:

It was a great privilege to do it. It's something I've always wanted to do since I started the show. I love Christmas, plus I've always wanted to film something in July that has got snow in, loads of snow ... it's very Christmassy.

Katherine Jenkins also talks about getting what is her first acting role:

It was far worse than any nerves I've ever had for any performance. I spent a lot of time thinking about it; it's such an iconic show, and it's one that we watch as a family. I just thought, "I'd love to give it a try." But I'm the first to say I don't really consider myself an actress. So, I asked if I could go in and read to them and I thought, "Well, if I'm rubbish they won't give it to me, will they?" So I read to them and they called me on my 30th birthday and offered me the part.

You can read more about the Special, Matt Smith and Katherine Jenkins's thoughts of working alongside Sir Michael Gambon - plus their own singing talents - in the issue, available in the shops from 2nd December. The traditional double-issue of the Radio Times for the Christmas period will follow a couple of days later on the 4th December.

Sylvester McCoy keen on Doctor Who return

Actor Sylvester McCoy has said he would be keen to return to Doctor Who for its 50th anniversary.

McCoy, who played the seventh Doctor from 1987 to 1989, said fans wanted a multi-Doctor story to mark the programme's golden jubilee in 2013.

He also suggested that earlier Doctors - played by actors who have since died - could be brought back using computer technology.

"It would be fascinating with all the technology if they could bring back Jon Pertwee and William Hartnell.

"That would be amazing - and I bet they could do it if they wanted to."

The 67-year-old Scot also joked that technology could be used to "make us thin again".

Verizon settled on Microsoft stock of Kin at Christmas

Media_http1bpblogspot_ggijr

Last chance for Americans to be made at a Kin Kin One or Two, and only the first two models in this series that Microsoft introduced in late April and that made Sharp.
The multinational's off the market in just 6 weeks due to low acceptance in the U.S. market and aborted the launch in Europe, scheduled for this fall.

In the case of Spain should have reached the hands of Vodafone.

Now Verizon, U.S., has reinstated in its catalog.

Not that Microsoft wants to give them a second chance, as their commitment to the smartphone market is currently focused on the Windows operating system Phone 7, which just introduced a few weeks ago.

However, the operator wants to get rid of stock that is stored from the summer and these are the best times to sell the Kin Kin One and Two that is.

This time there will need to hire a data rate, but may be used by WiFi networks.

Do you run out of stock?

Have fun with a real casino on your mobile hand Ring Ring Games

Media_http1bpblogspot_bsiwq

Would you like to feel the excitement of roulette and win real money while you wait your turn in line at the supermarket or in the bus when going to work?

That's the new mobile casino brand Ring Ring Games has just launched in Spain, the statement sent by Probability, the company that owns the license.

To know more about it walked the streets of Madrid aboard a Hummer limousine while striking Marcela Torres, Spanish Country Head of this company, explained what this virtual casino mobile.

At the time of the interview had with 1,150 registered users (of which only 10% are regular players).

However, expected to markedly increase their customer base thanks to a curious action of street marketing.
A couple of players that emulated the very Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley offered to those who came to them with information flyers, merchandising and a welcome bonus of $ 5 to spend on this virtual casino.

Bets can be made from only 5 cents and in return you can get attractive prizes of 6,000 euros. "The return of the deposits ranges between 94.3 and 97%," says Torres.

Media_http4bpblogspot_hjbfe

Moreover, as the company launch offer double your first deposit up to 100 euros.
Of course, there are 3 important requirements to be met. To begin, one must be over 18 years (for withdrawal of money is necessary to send a copy of an official document of identification). "We are not gamblers. So it is not possible to spend over 300 euros a day or even have more than one account per person, "said the Spanish Country Head of Ring Ring Games.

Payment can be made by credit or debit card. Another option is the secure payment system Ukash. Payment must be made on the card that was used to deposit or through a bank check.
Registration is free. The user accesses the web, leave your phone number and immediately receive an SMS with a link to download the application.

The software, in Java, runs on almost all phones and smartphones on the market, except for BlackBerry - "your users are not our target audience," said Marcela, and iPhone. However, the company plans to be present in the App Store later.

With regard to the law in our country Torres explains that "Spain is not prohibited, but not allowed", adding: "A State Lotteries are not interested to open the legilación because their sales would fall, but late Sooner or end coming. "

So are licensed in Gibraltar. That is where there is the customer service in Spanish, and the fraud department.
At the moment it is possible to play roulette, video poker and slot 3 (beach of money, the kingdom of Poseidon and Treasure Island). Soon also offer multiplayer BlackJack.

Christel Films: ARNIE Episode 1

"Since I originally announced it the plans for this have changed beyond recognition and I intend to still be playing with the look and format of the show for sometime to come. In that instance I would ask that you give it time to evolve and hopefully enjoy as I try out different styles and looks. This first episode is a single part story, the rest of the episodes will be two parters, and lasts 8 minutes. Hopefully it helps to establish the back story and helps to set the series on its way to independence from Christel Doctor Who. Enjoy... "

  • SFX And Doctor Who Robbed Of Quiz Victory On A Tiebreaker, Paul McGann acts as team captain for SFX at the Sky Ultimate Film Quiz, and we couldn’t have been happier! Paul McGann! Doctor Who number eight! What a great guy. Okay, his film knowledge wasn’t much help, but he was great moral support, and we had a great chat with him about Penge getting bombed during the Second World War and Luther. He’s officially now one of SFX’s favourite stars.....

Who is the Doctor has Continuity Errors, by Steven Moffat. The Luna University, The Hammerstein Building, smaller lecture theatre. 2643 (Editor: a blast from the past but could be relevant soon, as for speculation, Doctor Who Spoilers explains quite neatly how 'A Christmas Carol' might be similar to Moffat’s short story Continuity Errors in which The Doctor altered a librarians past several times in order to make her amenable to lending him a book).

TARDIS Scanner - Who Tube has Doctor Who 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver... Screwdriver, sometimes, a sonic screwdriver just won't cut it. Like when you actually want to screw screws. Make sure you've got an actual screwdriver (Editor: available from Forbidden Planet now).

Fish Fingers and Custard has Issue 3 Preview - Interview With A David Tennant Fangirl, issue 3 is coming very soon. In the meantime, we can bring you a preview of what could prove to be the most controversial article we've ran in our short history, as we interview some David Tennant Fangirls on the man, his role and the aftermath of his departure. (Actually, it's not that controversial. But if it's good enough for Heat Magazine, it's good enough for us!).

Who Fix has Milky Way to the Stars, thanks to Simon Harries for this wonderful scan.

The10GrandCharityChallenge has Dalek Doodles / GOSH Blogging / Auctions Galore, Dalek Doodle Day is underway, and the mix of Dalek Doodles and TARDIS art is now online. The live auction total just now is a record for one time for me, 131, and features a mix of match worn football items, signed Dr Who cards, photographs, doodles and the aforementioned Dalek and TARDIS creations.

RIPT Apparel has Whosicle (Resurrected), "I think the inspiration for this tee is obvious so I won't insult your intelligence by blathering on and on about Daleks and Time Lords."

Newsarama has For his 47th, get caught up with a Doctor Who primer, on November 23, 1963 at 5:15 pm on a Saturday, the BBC premiered a program that was intended to educate children on some basics of science and history and was expected to last perhaps a year....

Dirty Whoers has Pixie Invasion London: 2010, "despite the best (and worst) the weather could throw at us, myself and the Prof tootled down to London this weekend in the last of our buggering about the countryside convention odyssies. We also got back again (which was something of a miracle), so here I am, replete with biccies and coffee in the comfort of the Pixie hovel, a bearer of good news for those of us who do like our roleplaying games...."

IGN Blogs has Top 5 Most Epic Scene’s From Doctor Who (Matt Smith), the Christmas Special is just a month away I decided to list my Top 5 favourite Matt Smith Quotes/Scenes.

Radio Free Skaro has released 226 – I Feel Fine, the time has finally come for The Three Who Rule to sink their teeth into Vincent and the Doctor as the Series 5 commentary series continues. Vincent has been a polarizing episode both amongst the Radio Free Skaro gang as well as much of fandom in general with opinions firmly seated on both sides of the fence....

The Eleventh Hour Podcast has William Hartnell, Joe and Chris dive headfirst into their first Classic Doctor Who episode, for one of William Hartnell's adventures. As we actually select which adventure we'll cover on the show, you may wish to just listen and find out. If, however, you want to know beforehand (especially if you want to make sure you've seen said adventure first) the title is included underneath the image credit.

Reverse The Polarity Films' Doctor Who Review has Book Review 2: Prisoner of the Daleks, by Trevor Baxendale (2009), After the TARDIS skips a time-track, The Doctor finds himself in a period before the Time War on the planet Hurala. Doctor Who Spoilers has Tomb of the Cybermen?, ...the Doctor Who art department have been working on Mummified Cybermen. Apparently the Cybermen involved are redesigned classic series Cybermen rather than the 2006 Cybus variety. Earlier in the year there were hints that an episode would be set in Egypt that were later enhanced when a Guardian article claimed that an interactive DVD was being created to accompany an Egypt-themed episode of the series (Editor: due to a renewed reporting of this story, I've reposted this original post again).

Doctor Who writer's visit a monster hit with pupils (The Star)

THE Daleks and Cybermen were out in two Doncaster schools as one of the BBC's Doctor Who writers toured the borough.

South Yorkshire author Dan Blythe is one of the team of writers behind the Doctor Who novels series and he spent the day telling pupils about the history of the show.

After a session talking to pupils at Hexthorpe Primary School, he moved on to Danum School, where pupils from several primary schools attended as part of the Doncaster Book Awards programme.

Dan, who lives in Loxley, Sheffield, has written three Doctor Who books, although the first two, written in the 1990s before the relaunch of the programme in 2005, are now available only from specialist bookshops.

They were called Dimension Riders and Infinite Requiem and were about the Sylvester McCoy Doctor Who character, on the television in the late 1980s.

Dan signed copies of his current Doctor Who book, Autonomy, which is about Autons. They are plastic dummies brought to life by an alien force, the Nestenes.
