The return of Doctor Who means the return of Doctor Who Confidential! Straight after A Christmas Carol finishes you can flick over to BBC Three to catch a brilliant, behind-the-scenes look at the making of the festive special, featuring exclusive interviews with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Katherine Jenkins.

But we've more exciting news! Yes, it's as though Santa is swinging by early this this year as there's some pre-Christmas Confidential to get you in the mood, with four films starring Charlie McDonnell. Charlie, 20, has been an internet star since he was a teenager and is one of the web's most popular bloggers.

As the BBC revealed: 'Doctor Who Confidential and Charlie McDonnell. He's a YouTube star, they're a BBC Three show... both have over a million viewers, both are crazy about Doctor Who, and they've been working together to make four special films about the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Launching daily from Tuesday 21st December on the Red Button and Doctor Who Confidential programme pages, the four films see charlieissocoollike on the Doctor Who set as the crew are filming the Christmas Special and in the run up to Christmas.'

Charlie told us, 'After seeing my video blogs and my very public admiration for Doctor Who, the Confidential team got in touch with me and asked if I was up for hanging out on the set of Doctor Who, doing fun Doctor Who related things, and turning that into a series of online videos for the BBC. Needless to say, retaining my urge to squee like the fangirl I am, I said yes.'
