The Wikipedia entry for Marilyn Monroe was changed by an eager Doctor who fan to include....
"Monroe had three marriages, first to James Dougherty, then to Joe DiMaggio, and lastly Arthur Miller. Monroe is alleged to have had affairs with both Jack and Bobby Kennedy. Marlon Brando, in his autobiography Songs My Mother Taught Me, also claimed that he had had a relationship with her. In the late 1950s rumors circulated briefly that Monroe had eloped with an unnamed stranger in a bow tie she met during a party at Frank Sinatra's Hollywood estate. The marriage was never confirmed, however, due in part to the fact that it may not have taken place inside a real chapel."The News...

Whomix Radio has uploaded more mixes, contributors to whomix include both amateur and professional musicians. They do not expect to be rewarded monetarily for the arrangements which they provide here, but listeners are encouraged to show them support by leaving feedback and, when listed, visiting their websites.
Extended Themes Are Cool, firstly, Merry Christmas to you all! Secondly, there is no second point. Except for this remix, which kind of overrides the first point.
Time and Relative Dimension in Synth - Beta 2, long story short: The theme has regenerated into something old, and something new.
Rocked Derbyshire Radiophonic Revolution, hi i am theoneafter9090909 from you tube, and this is my first whomix, rocked derbyshire. i started with the Derbyshire extended theme, to which i added a guitar bassline, and a piano track.
The Doctor's Nightmare, I intended it to be a more horror take on the theme, with a much creepier vibe.
Wibbly Wobbly, I've done the traditional remix. Now for something completely different. I've really hyped up the percussion in this, some electronics; including part of the original baseline and theremin wails (as a kind of homage to 50's sci-fi scores).

The Guardian has Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol – Christmas special 2010, Doctor Who tones things down this year, with a small-scale drama that's full of heart and soul – and flying sharks, "That ship needs to land, and it can't land unless a very bad man decides to turn good just in time for Christmas Day …"
io9 has The Most Wondrous Doctor Who Christmas Special Yet, when Steven Moffat took over masterminding Doctor Who, he said his vision of the show was more akin to a fairy tale. For my money, tonight's Christmas special was the closest he's ever come to achieving that goal. Spoilers ahead!
Eye of Polyphemus has Doctor Who --"A Christmas Carol", ever since Doctor Who was revived in 2005, there have been threats the annual Christmas special was going to be an homage to Charles dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Every year, I brace for it. Sight unseen, I generally think such homage are done way too often without anything interesting added to the mix. Ditto for It’s a Wonderful Life stories. Steven Moffat finally did it this year. I was not expecting much, even though I have much faith in the Moff. I should have had much more faith. “A Christmas Carol” was touchingly terrific.
pauseliveaction has Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol, is it sad that this is the highlight of my Christmas Day? Well, I don’t care if it is. Welcome back Matt Smith, Stephen Moffat, Karen Gillan et al – I’ve missed you all. And what a return it is – plunging straight into the action with Amy and Rory on honeymoon on a spaceship and about to crash and die unless Ebenezer Scrooge – sorry Kazran Sardick – uses his climate control machine to clear the crystalline cloud layer....
Neurotic Nerdiness has Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol, this year’s Doctor Who episode is entitled “A Christmas Carol”, so at least they’re honest about the unoriginality. Interestingly though, they not only draw on Dickens’ classic Christmas tale for inspiration but on a range of Christmas themes, up to and including an idea stolen wholesale from themselves. Oh, and, er, Jaws....
Anglotopia has Doctor Who: 2010 Christmas Special Review – A Christmas Carol, nothing says Christmas like a flying shark, eh?, exciting, creative and moving. That about sums up the 2010 Doctor Who Christmas special....
Bleeding Cool has Ten Thoughts About Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol, this is probably the most Christmassy Doctor Who ever. Even more than when the First Doctor broke the fourth wall to his Christmas greeting to viewers. A deliberate reworking of Dicken’s Christmas Carol – after all, we all know how much of a fan of Dickens the Doctor is – in order to rewrite a particularly belligerent old man into the kind of person who will do what the Doctor wants him to do....
Shadowlocked has Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol review, if you want to see a giant flying shark pulling a hansom cab of Christmas revellers over the urban landscape of an alien city that's half-Dickensian and half Philip K. Dick, it's Doctor Who or bust....
TV Overmind has Doctor Who "A Christmas Carol" Review, I was more excited by the trailer for the upcoming series of Doctor Who more than I was the actual special itself, but don't hold that against the special: both were incredible.
Among Friends has A Christmas Carol – Dr. Who Review, so the Doctor is back for Christmas and unlike the last two Christmas stories, this one is actually a genuinely Christmas rooted story. Last Christmas was more about the beginning of the departure of dear David rather than any big deal about Crimbo. I could make the argument that the Christmas link in The Next Doctor is fairly tenuous and that story could play at any time.
MTV has 'Doctor Who' Review: 'A Christmas Carol', our early review of "Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol" managed to cover the actor's impressive performances in the Christmas Special, but now that we don't need to worry about spoilers (much), we can dive a little deeper into plot points.
Review's Roundup...
The Daily Drew has "The Christmas Invasion", this episode began what is now a firmly entrenched television tradition of having a brand new special episode of "Doctor Who" each and every Christmas. These episodes typically have a Christmas theme of some kind, and this episode features a brass band of killer Santas and a remote-controlled Christmas Tree of Death. But the story is appropriately much more concerned with introducing David Tennant as the tenth Doctor.....Podcast Review's...
Two-minute Time Lord has 2MTL 181: "A Christmas Carol" Reviewed, it was certainly a Christmasy Christmas special Steven Moffat provided us this year, although it DID bear a few resemblances to one from a few years ago. Here's my take on "A Christmas Carol." Many, many thanks to BBC America, Worldwide, and the mothership in Cardiff for bringing the show to the U.S. on the original trasmission date!....Pick of the Tweets...
ATSMPodcast Jenkins has a nice voice, but the lip-synch w/ the prerecorded music is rather poor. Small musical complaint as the story is most enjoyable. |
steven_moffat 10.3 million for Doctor Who! (Just the overnights, obviously.) |
IanLevine A great result. Second highest program of the day, beat only by Eastenders, overnight of 10.3 million. Doctor Who's still got it. |
DW_Experience The Doctor Who Experience will be displaying a piece of set used in the Christmas Special - Kazran's Skymast Controller! |
