BBC - Doctor Who
Doctor Who has a long tradition of supporting Children in Need and over the years the Time Lord has appeared on the big night in exclusive previews and mini-episodes. For this year's Children in Need, just after 8pm on Friday, 19 November, the TARDIS will again be appearing on BBC ONE as part of a very special treat including a preview of A Christmas Carol. To celebrate the Doctor's continuing involvement with Children in Need, this week's Step Back in Time returns to 2007 and a short but brilliant episode written by Steven Moffat. Entitled Time Crash, the story showed what happened when the Fifth Doctor and Tenth Doctor endured a kind of temporal collision and were thrown together in the TARDIS. But there was very little time for reminiscing about the old days as the 'time crash' immediately threatened to blow a hole in the universe... a hole about the size of Belgium!Time Crash was first shown during 2007's Children in Need. It starred David Tennant and Peter Davison and was directed by Graeme Harper.
