It started as a test of a digital painting method, but when the linework was near complete, I felt that it should just be colored normally, so as not to ruin this good thing I had going. This image of course depicts K-9 (Mark I) and Leela, former companions of the Fourth Doctor, the citadel of the Time Lords shining bright on the Gallifrean (sp?) horizon. The two chose to stay behind on Gallifrey after the events of "The Invasion of Time." Unknown if they survived the Time War -- probably not if both were on Gallifrey -- but K-9 Mark I is supposedly the K-9 to be "reformatted" for the upcoming K-9 Australian-produced spin-off TV show. Anyhoo, enjoy. Dedicated to all those at that shining citadel called San Diego Comic Con 2009. Maybe next year for me.
