Okay, so if you've been reading the site for any significant amount of time, you already know that your friendly neighborhood Splash Page editor is a big fan of "Doctor Who." In fact, you'll probably argue that "big fan" is a terrible understatement. But let's not bicker over semantics here, folks — let's give you the chance to win some great "Doctor Who" stuff instead.
On November 9, Series 5 of BBC & BBC America's long-running science-fiction serial "Doctor Who" arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray, featuring Matt Smith's first full season as the Eleventh Doctor. And as luck would have it, we have a bunch of "Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series" DVDs, Blu-Rays, toys, and other great "Who"-friendly items to give away to some lucky readers.
We'll be giving all of this "Doctor Who" swag away periodically over the next few days leading up to next week's release of the Series 5 collection, and posting some exclusive clips from the DVD and Blu-Ray bonus features. Want to win? Well, you're going to have to earn it!
Here's what we're giving away over the next 24 hours:

My favourite moment of the new series (and yes there were many) Was when the Doctor got changed at the end of the 11th hour in front of the Atraxi. I liked him but it was that moment when he truly became The Doctor (at least to me.)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite moment is the very end of the finale, when the Doctor reminds us of all the things yet to be revealed - The Silence; why the TARDIS exploded. We've never had such an open-ended finale like that :DBut my favourite QUOTE would have to be when River Song sees Amy's dolls she's made of the Doctor and she quietly says, "Oh, why do I let you out Doctor?"
ReplyDeleteI really liked how they worked one moment existed into two episodes, stirring up nitpickers the first time around, and changing the meaning of the scene the second time around, when the Doctor said "Amy, you need to start trusting me. It’s never been more important."
