Sarah Jane Adventures - Lost in Time....
Blogtor Who has Review: SJA, "Lost In Time", it's not often you hear Primark (a "popular" shopping chain in the UK, for overseas readers) getting a mention in a science-fiction show but The Sarah Jane Adventures ventures where other shows fear to tread. This week's outing, Lost In Time, also manages to split the gang up and stick them in different time zones - such a simple and pleasing concept that one wonders why it isn't done more.Last Broadcast has The Sarah Jane Adventures: Lost In Time, last week saw Team SJ running on the spot somewhat in 'The Empty Planet', as the story (about an empty planet on which youngsters Rani and Clyde were the only inhabitants) felt just a bit like filler. This week, the storyline feels very much like the kind of filler that Doctor Who itself used to do - and quite often, quite clumsily - but here is done with verve, and not a small degree of wit.Total Sci Fi has The Sarah Jane Adventures: Lost in Time Part 1 (Series 4, Episode 9), a mysterious shopkeeper sends Sarah Jane and co on a quest through time.
Blogtor Who has Matt & Karen - Fearne Cotton interview, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were guests of Fearne Cotton on her BBC Radio 1 show earlier today - hear it in the players below. In it they discuss the Christmas Special on a new "special" recorded for BBC Radio 1.The Doctor Who News Page has Death of the Doctor Tops Ratings, the story, which featured Matt Smith as The Doctor and Katy Manning playing Jo Jones nee Grant, had 0.92 million watching part one and 0.96 million watching part two according to official figures from Barb. The previous high for the channel was 0.83 million for Tracey Beaker Returns in January, the Alien files had 0.388 million watching. The various repeats over the week allowed The Sarah Jane Adventures to dominate the chart taking 8 of the top ten places.

Jon Pinto has Human Resources, "odd title, I know. There is a group on Deviant Art that held a contest recently about doing an illustration based on one of the audio adventures of Doctor Who. I thought that sounded like fun and I came up with a sketch pretty quick as I was listening to one in the car during my commute in the afternoons. It was also an opportunity to draw a "modernized, retro Cyberman". Still with me or has my total geekiness turned you away already?? Anyway, it was also an excuse to draw the 8th Doctor and the lovely Sheridan Smith as Lucie Miller. I hope I did them both justice."Velvet Jacket has uploaded the alternative cover for The Space Museum, how can you avoid a future that's already happened?HeroPress has The Times They Are A Changin'...., watching the extended coverage of Doctor Who At The Proms (2010) the other day, and seeing the wide-eyed and open-mouthed amazement of the children in the audience made me wish I was a kid again, discovering Doctor Who for the first time.Tom Baker official website has Tom's new recording of The Boy Who Kicked Pigs available to download, Tom has recently made a new recording of his book, The Boy Who Kicked Pigs, for Silksoundbooks...Making My 5th Doctor Costume has Bonhams costume sales - previous auctions, "ss well as the auctions I have been to over the past couple of years, I have done a little digging back and found some further Fifth Doctor items from four sales from 2005 to 2008."
Articles of the Shadow Proclamation has Shadowcast - Article 9, in our ninth episode we discuss Doctor Who series 5, episodes 8 & 9 - The Hungry Earth & Cold Blood. The Edwardian Adventurer has 017 – The Wall of Lies, “Does a magician need a key to open a door?”
Last Broadcast reviews The Sarah Jane Adventures: The Empty Planet and Doctor Who: Series 5.Total Sci Fi has Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series, we assess the Smith/Gillan/Moffat era so far.The Daily Drew has "Day of the Daleks" - Episode One, "it just so happens that the day before I watched this story for the purpose of writing these remarks, it was announced that it was being prepared for DVD release. When this announcement came through, I was very surprised at all the enthusiasm this story was getting from a whole bunch of people on Gallifrey Base, the "Doctor Who" forum I read. I've honestly never thought very highly of this story, but as I thought about it, I couldn't really summon any solid, specific complaints. "The Fire Show has Doctor Who: The Seeds of Doom, two alien seed pods are discovered in Antarctica. One of these swiftly germinates, latching onto one of the unlucky scientists who discovered it and gradually turning him into a huge carnivorous (and murderous) plant creature, a Krynoid.
